History

Akyazı Vocational School was established in 1995 as one of the vocational schools of Sakarya University.  In the same year, five classrooms, 4 programs and 120 students started offering education and training. Later, Akyazı High School gave permission to use the lower floor of its building, so Akyazı Vocational School continued its education with 13 classrooms, 7 programs and 450 students. Since our education building was damaged in the earthquake, education continued in a primary school with 10 classrooms which belonged to Ministry of Education in academic year of 1999-2000. In 2002, its new own building was built. 15 academic and 9 administrative staff working in our school provide education and training services to 950 students in total. The physical facilities of Akyazı Vocational School are getting better every day. In addition to the theoretical education of our students, two workshops have been installed in our school for Furniture and Decoration, Gas and Installation Technology, Air Conditioning and Cooling Technology, Machine Programs in order to provide practical skills and knowledge,
